SSG Andrew Allphin is a trumpet performer and educator. As a musician, he has performed in world renowned venues such as the Kennedy Center, Strathmore, Wolf Trap, and the Lincoln Center. Allphin has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, and performs regularly with the Annapolis Symphony. Allphin holds degrees in music from Brigham Young University, the University of Michigan, and a doctorate from The Catholic University of America. Allphin is a Professor of Trumpet and Brass Ensembles at Catholic University of America, an online Professor of Humanities at Strayer University, and is a faculty member at Bishop Ireton High School, a renowned school in music education. He also performs taps at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and for our heroes in Arlington National Cemetery. Allphin has performed at the funerals of Presidents Ronald Reagan and Gerald R. Ford, and participated in the inaugurations of two presidents. Andrew has played as a member of the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, the U.S. Army Brass Quintet, the U.S. Army Blues, and the U.S. Army Trumpet Ensemble.
