SFC Larry Ferguson is a Kentucky native and has been a member of the U.S. Army Band, "Pershing's Own" since 2002.
Ferguson has held the position of principal percussionist with the Flint (MI) Symphony Orchestra, the Adrian (MI) Symphony Orchestra, and as a section percussionist with the Owensboro (KY) Symphony Orchestra. As a freelancer, Ferguson has performed with the Alabama Symphony, the Ann Arbor (MI) Symphony, the Saginaw (MI) Symphony, the Arlington(VA) Symphony, the Fairfax (VA) Symphony, and the Prince William (VA) Symphony. Ferguson has also performed at the Percussive Arts Society's International Convention in 2001 with the percussion quintet, Project 166, and has appeared on recordings for the Equillibrium, the Bossa Beats, and the Azalea City labels.
As a drumset performer, Ferguson has played with Pete Seeger, Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave), Chris Isaak, Donald Byrd, Free Flight, Jill Sobule, Lester Chambers, Byron Stripling, Freda Payne, Amelia White, Jiggs Whigham, Paul McKee, the U.S. Army Blues, the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors, the U.S. Army Downrange, and the Mr. Jack Daniel's Silver Coronet Brass Band. Ferguson is currently residing in Alexandria, VA with his family and maintains a busy schedule as a freelance musician in the Washington, D.C. area.
