Born and raised in Michigan, SFC Brian K. Ross joined the U.S. Army in 1995 at the age of 18 as a Canon Fire Direction Specialist, Mechanized Heavy Artillery. He trained at Fort Sill, OK then was assigned to Bamberg, Germany in 1996. Ross was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina with the 1/6 Field Artillery C Battery from 1996 - 1997 in Operation Joint Guard, SFOR, Camp Valhalla. In 1998 he was the lead Audio Technician of the U.S. Army Soldier Show World Tour, performing for soldiers in the U.S. and Europe. From 1998 - 2000 he was the lead Audio Technician of the U.S. Army Europe Band and Chorus in Schwetzingen, Germany. In 2000, he joined the U.S. Army Band, “Pershing’s Own” as an Audio Engineer.
As the primary Audio Engineer in the Concert Band Production Team, Ross brings performances to you, be it live, on the air, over the web, or on a variety of other media using state of the art audio equipment. Ross works closely with various ensembles within the organization, performing recitals, concerts, and special events for the public across the nation, as well as ceremonies for dignitaries, and heads of state.
