Sergeant First Class William Frederick Lamb, III, is a Baritone Vocalist with The U.S. Army Band Downrange. Originally from Ocean City, New Jersey, his career in the Army began in 1992 with The Army Chorale. SFC Lamb has performed with the Pottstown Symphony, the Vienna Symphony, the Spoleto Symphony, and the Toronto Symphony under the direction of Leonard Bernstein. As a member of the Columbus Boys Choir, he took part in recordings of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem with the Vienna Symphony, and Leonard Bernstein’s Kaddish. Since joining "Pershing's Own," he has shared the stage with artists such as Pebo Bryson, Arturo Sandaval, Lou Rawls, Kenny Loggins, Clint Holmes, Louise Mandrell, Sylvia McNair, and Natalie Cole, in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the Music Center at Strathmore, DAR Constitution Hall, and The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
