Originally from Alexis, IL, Mr. Neil Goltermann considers himself a jack-of-all-trades. After moving between different jobs in the civilian sector, Mr. Goltermann joined the Army in April of 2003 as a transportation specialist. He received his Army training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and was then assigned to the transportation unit of The 3rd U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard) at Ft. Myer. Upon separation from the Army after a four-year enlistment, Neil was hired as a transportation specialist for The U. S. Army Band (Pershing’s Own) in 2007. He is responsible for transporting the musicians of the unit to local missions in the National Capital Region and is often called upon to drive the Band and Chorus to concert venues across the country. Neil is the proud father of one daughter, Jillian.
