A native of Central Pennsylvania, SSG Christy Klenke attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy.  She has studied horn with Zachary Smith, William Caballero, William Purvis and Denise Tryon. After accepting a position with The United States Army Field Band, Klenke spent four years touring the country and performing with the Concert Band and the Woodwind Ambassadors. She joined The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” in 2014 as a member of the Ceremonial Band. Klenke is a Board Certified Music Therapist and shares the joy of music through her work with Capital Music Therapy Services.  Christy resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband, Jeremy, and their golden retriever, Sampson.
