SSG Patricia Morgan is originally from Glenn Dale, Maryland. She attended the Peabody Institute in Baltimore for her undergraduate degree, then continued her studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas, where she studied with Benjamin Kamins and earned a Master of Music in Music Performance.

Morgan has participated in numerous national and international music festivals including Massachusetts' Tanglewood Music Center, Baltimore's Summer Chamber Music in Roland Park, California's Music Academy of the West, the Kent/Blossom Music Festival in Ohio, and the Pacific Music Festival in Japan. She has been a member of the Chattanooga Symphony, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, and was principal bassoonist of the Augusta Symphony. She has performed for the International Double Reed Society conference, and at the historic Alexandria Lyceum.

Prior to becoming a member of The U.S. Army Concert Band, Morgan became a member of The U.S. Army Field Band in 2009. Five years later, she auditioned and earned her position in The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own".
