SGM Laura Lineberger is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Music Education. She earned a Master of Music in Euphonium performance from the University of Maryland, College Park, Prior to joining the Army she taught instrumental music in Logan, Ohio for four years. She is a founding member of the award winning Brass Band of Columbus, anchoring the euphonium section for eight years before pursuing her graduate degree in Maryland. In 1990, she became the first woman euphonium player in the history of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own.” She has performed many solo performances with The U.S. Army Brass Band, The U.S. Army Concert Band, and The U.S. Army Orchestra. In February 2001, she accepted a position with The U.S. Army Band Music Library to explore the business of music. Lineberger maintains professional memberships to: Major Orchestra Librarians Association (MOLA), North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) and International Women’s Brass Conference (IWBC).
