The winner of the annual U.S. Army Orchestra Young Artist Competition will perform with The U.S. Army Orchestra at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center, Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria, VA. No tickets are required, and parking is FREE.


Wednesday evenings in May and June at 7:00 p.m.
Pre-event pageantry starts at 6:45 p.m.

Tuesday, August 16, 2011 | 8:00 p.m.
The U.S. Army Band’s outdoor summer concert series culminates with this concert that features the spirited Tchaikovsky’s “Overture 1812” on the slope of the Washington Monument Grounds—complete with the cannons of The 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) Presidential Salute Battery. Free | No tickets are required; however, the concert may be cancelled due to inclement weather. There is no rain date.


Spirit of America is the inspiring story of Soldiers past and present, generations of men and women who, for more than 230 years, in times of war and peace, have left families and friends behind to serve their country as Soldiers in the United States Army. The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” celebrates the holiday season with its “A Holiday Festival” concert at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC. This concert features The U.S. Army Orchestra, The U.S. Army Chorus, and vocalists from The U.S. Army Band Downrange. Free tickets are required.

The Conference features concerts, recitals, exhibits, master classes, and lectures by leading low brass authorities from around the world.

Several major elements of “Pershing’s Own” perform several genres of music to include jazz, pop, classical, and show tunes in celebration of the 1922 founding of the premier musicial organization of the U.S. Army. Free tickets are required.
