The United States Army’s most popular outdoor ceremonial pageant opens in the Washington D.C. area on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Fort Lesley J. McNair. The pageant starts at 7:00 p.m. (pre-ceremony pageantry begins at 6:45 p.m.) This year’s Twilight Tattoo series will be held on the following Wednesdays: May 5, 12, 19, 26 and June 2, 9, 23, 30.

Twilight Tattoo is an hour-long sunset military pageant that features Soldiers of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), troop, and ceremonial units: The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, The U.S. Army Drill Team; The U.S. Army Blues, a soloist from The U.S. Army Chorus, and members of The U.S. Army Band Downrange.

This performance is free and open to the public. Bleacher seating is available on a first-come, first-seated basis. For more information about group reservations, contact the U.S. Army Military District of Washington at (202) 685-2888.
