Department of Defense ID holders can access JBM-HH at the Hatfield Gate (24 hours), the Wright Gate (5:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. 7-days a week ) and the Henderson Hall Gate (5:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. M-F; 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sat and Sun).
DOD ID card holders should receive access without being subjected to vehicle search.
All adult vehicle occupants (DOD and non-DOD) must be able to produce a valid state-issued photo ID.
All non-DoD, non-federally-affiliated visitors may only access JBM-HH at the Hatfield Gate (24 hours).
Visitors must present a valid state-issued photo ID, and will be subjected to a vehicle search. International guests: please ensure you have your passport, military orders, or other travel information as needed for your visit to the U.S.
Note: ALL Uber, Lyft, and taxi drivers (if they do not carry government ID) must complete and submit this paperwork, too.
Each vehicle occupant ages 18 and over will be subject to a brief background check. This process may take 20-30 minutes, or potentially longer based on how close to concert time you arrive. Vetting for international visitors can take anywhere between 1 hour to 3 days (see #6, below).
Visitors may be able to shorten the process by pre-filling out and printing the Request for Installation Access Control Pass.
If you are able, you may be vetted in advance. Come to Fort Myer via the Hatfield Gate and ask to proceed to the Visitor Control Center (Bldg 415) where you may begin the vetting process to attend an upcoming Army Band concert.
Each passenger in the vehicle (18+) must complete a copy of the request form. Print all 5 pages; answers to questions in blocks 1-10 (11 if non-US Citizen) are mandatory. Signature in block 12a-c are mandatory. In block 13, mark: Event Attendee. In block 14, note: "120-day pass"; in block 15: TUSAB Seasonal Pass.
Beginning January 9, 2017, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall will no longer accept non-REAL ID compliant state-issued identification, or identification from states that have not received a REAL ID extension.
Currently, the District of Columbia and Maryland drivers licenses are compliant with REAL ID. However, this only applies to identification issued under the compliance of REAL ID, and older identification may not be compliant.
For a list of states and territories that are compliant with READ ID, please visit the Department of Homeland Security REAL ID current status page.
If you have any questions regarding your identification's compliance with REAL ID, please contact your individual state's ID issuing agency.
