Biography

Army Band Tuba Quartet

“Pershing’s Own” has had a tuba-euphonium quartet since the early 1980s and the band’s saxophone quartet was formed in 2003. The current tuba-euphonium quartet is comprised entirely of members of the Ceremonial Band to include SFC Neal Corwell (who was also a member of the original 1980’s quartet) and SSGs Dean Miller, Charles Giannelli and Tim Royster. Members of the saxophone quartet, from both Concert and Ceremonial Band, are MSG Robert Beeson, and SFC Scott Weinhold, plus SSGs Michelle Acton, and Eli Gonzalez. Both quartets are active in the creation and performance of new and diverse literature.
