KU Tuba Consort


Missouri Western State University Tuba Ensemble

The Thunder All-Star Tuba Euphonium Ensemble (T.A.S.T.E.E) is a consortium project between the three studios of the University of Kansas, Missouri Western State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The goals of this project are the sharing of performance activities between the students of all three studios, as well as a sharing of guest artists, special activities, teacher expertise and most importantly friendship.

In addition to regional performances, the group has performed on the Great Plains Conference in 2008 and 2011, as well as the 2009 International Tuba Euphonium Conference in Arizona. It’s directors are Scott Watson of the University of Kansas; Tom Stein of the University of Missouri-Kansas City; and Lee Harrelson of Missouri Western State University.
