Biography

A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, Emerson Miller joined The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" in 2022 after completing the first year of his master’s degree at The University of Maryland where he is currently a member of the graduate fellowship brass quintet, “Terrapin Brass.” He also earned his bachelor’s degree in music performance from The University of Maryland where he studied with Philip Munds and Gregory Miller. He has attended The National Orchestral Institute + Festival and The Santiago de Querétaro Music Festival in Mexico. In his free time, Miller is an avid Washington sports fan and enjoys playing basketball and tennis. Miller is also a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Silver Spring.
