Originally from Dayton, Ohio, MSG Holly Watters first began playing the piano at age five, then added the viola to her musical studies at age eight, studying both instruments simultaneously through college. Watters has appeared as a soloist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, and has attended music festivals at Sarasota (FL), Bowdoin (ME), and the Henry Mancini Jazz InstWitute in Coral Gables (FL). While her primary instrument is viola, she maintains her love of the keyboard as a church organist, and frequently collaborates on piano as well. She is married to Harry Watters, a retired trombonist in The U.S. Army Band. The couple has occasionally performed together, including a recent State Department sponsored tour to the Ukraine. They have three children: Harry, Katherine, and Caroline.
