MSG Kendra Boettcher Craven hails from Port Edwards, Wisconsin. She received a Bachelor of Music in flute and a Bachelor of Arts in art history from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, as well as a Master of Music from The University of North Texas. Craven joined the U.S. Army Field Band in 1996, where she was a soloist on several major concert tours. She came over to The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” in 2001, where she is now assistant principal flute in the Concert Band. Craven is featured on the 2008 CD “High Speed” where she performs Sonata Latino by Mike Mower. Outside of TUSAB, Craven teaches private flute lessons and plays in several local groups. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob Craven, and their two children.
