Biography

MSG Megan Lomonof is a member of the United States Army "Pershing's Own" Ceremonial Band. She holds a Bachelors degree in music education from Illinois State University and a Masters degree in flute performance from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. She has advanced and been a prizewinner in young artist competitions through the Flute Society of Kentucky, Atlanta Flute Society, Cincinnati Flute Symposium, and the Frank Bowen Flute Competition and has been a clinician at the Mid-Atlantic Flute Fair. She has won both the National Flute Association's Flute and Piccolo Masterclass competitions and both of Illinois State University's band and orchestra concerto competitions. She spends her free time teaching flute lessons, baking delicious foods, reading science fiction and epic fantasy novels, and training and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
