Biography

SFC Samuel Swift joined The U.S. Army Strings in 1997. He studied at Indiana University, Michigan State, and received his Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Maryland. From 1991-1993 he was a lecturer at the University of Virginia. He has also been an adjunct assistant professor of cello at Shenandoah University, an instructor at Georgetown University, and a substitute cellist with the National Symphony Orchestra.
