Seth Carter


Biography

Seth Carter is a senior Music Education and Tuba Performance Major at the University of North Texas. In addition to being the 2020 Leonard Falcone Tuba Artist gold medalist, Seth was also named the winner of the 2017 Leonard Falcone Tuba Student division, making him one of a small group of select individuals who have won multiple gold medals at the event. Seth has additionally won or received prizes at the 2018 South-Central Tuba Euphonium Conference (SCRTEC), 2021 North Texas Low Brass Camp Collegiate Solo Competition, and the 2021 International Mock Audition Competition (IMAC). He has participated in several music festivals including the Eastern Music Festival, Rafael Méndez Brass Institute, and Eastman Tuba Euphonium Academy. At UNT, Seth has performed with the North Texas Wind Symphony conducted by Eugene Corporon, the UNT Symphony Orchestra conducted by David Itkin, and the North Texas Symphonic Band conducted by Dennis Fisher. Seth is a native of Paris, Texas and is a student of Donald Little and Matthew Good.
