Biography

Hailing from Grapevine, Texas, SSG Clay Pritchard attended the University of North Texas where he played in the One O’clock Lab Band for four years. He is inspired by all the jazz greats but, more personally, the Dallas, Texas, music staples Randy Lee, Jim Riggs, and Marchel Ivory. He recorded multiple albums and toured with the Grammy winning band Snarky Puppy. SSG Pritchard was a Thelonious Monk Competition Semi-Finalist in 2013, recorded with Flo-rida on the four-time platinum hit “GDFR”, and has performed with jazz icons Phil Woods, Roy Hargrove, and Chick Corea.
