Biography

SSG Heath Sorensen began expressing his passion for music at a young age by joining the International Children’s Choir, participating in many choral festivals, and winning many competitions, including the prestigious European Championship. At the age of 22, while pursuing his Bachelor’s degree at The University of Utah, Sorensen had his first experience with opera, and continued his studies with a master’s degree from The University of Minnesota and a Performance Certificate from The Opera Institute at Boston University. He has been a young artist with Chautauqua Opera, Aspen Opera Theater, and La Musica Lirica in Italy. Prior to joining The U.S. Army Chorus, Sorensen served for 6 years as a bass vocalist and narrator for The U.S. Army Field Band.
